Video Recording

How do I record my favourite programmes ?

In this new digital world your old video recorder is going to be of limited use.

You can continue to use it to play back the tapes you have already recorded or bought without any problems.

If you want to use it to record digital television programmes then it will have to be connected to a Freeview “digibox” or Satellite decoder.

You set the recording channel to AV1 or AV2 (whichever scart channel on the VCR is connected to the digibox) .

Set the time of the programme to be recorded using the manual timer setting process of your VCR (Videoplus will no longer work).  Set the channel to AV1 or AV2 as appropriate.

THEN you have to programme the digibox to select the programme time and channel to be recorded.

Alternatively you might find it easier to purchase a new recording device with a digital tuner of its own.   Please contact us if you need more advice.
